Castaway villa is conveniently located in Chocolate Hole, walking distance to the Westin Hotel and a very short drive to Cruz Bay dining and shopping. The villa has 3 bedroom and bathroom suites plus a 4th sleeping loft. The 2 large suites in the villa offer king size beds, double vanity bathrooms & private outdoor showers. The sleeping loft, positioned overlooking the main living room. It has a full bed and a twin bed. The 3rd bedroom suite is located off of the pool deck and has fantastic views of Hart Bay. It has a queen size bed, central air, fantastic views, a brand new full bathroom and privacy. Cathedral ceilings, central air, ocean breezes, fantastic water views, and a 30ft pool with large sundeck create a space you won’t want to leave!
This villa has recently changed hands and while the reviews can’t be transferred, it had 26 5 star reviews, many of them in the past 6 months. And we have just recently remodeled the entire villa with all new paint, furniture, decor, linens, beds and even a new patio! Look through the pictures to see all the new changes.
The villa is fully equipped to make your stay as comfortable as possible. A fully stocked kitchen, all linens, pool floaties, beach towels, wifi, TV, cable and house phone are all available for your use. The driveway fits 2 cars comfortably. The villa also has a new gas grill and outdoor shower for rinsing off after long days at the beach. Use the blender for frozen margaritas to sip while you float on the pool rafts and overlook the water views in Chocolate Hole. The surrounding landscaping provides privacy yet a short walk will take you to the Westin Hotel. Washer and dryer are available for use during your stay. Nothing to bring but your clothes and sunscreen! So close to town that you can hail a taxi on nights you don’t want to worry about that second glass of wine.
There is a full time caretaker who lives on St. John. He is available to answer any questions during your stay.
The location of the house is fantastic. The neighborhood is great for those who want to go for a run or morning stroll. The newly renovated Westin is nearby, with all of it’s amenities. The St. John market is around the corner – not even a 2 minute drive – for any last minute food or alcohol needs! We fell in love with St. John and loved the idea of being close to Cruz Bay yet private enough to not feel the hustle and bustle
A car is recommended. Driving is on the left side of the road and the rental companies are very good at explaining road rules, etc. If you are not feeling as adventurous, the house is close enough to town that taxis will come out and pick you up and take you into Cruz Bay. The Westin taxis will also be accommodating about a return trip back.
