Here’s a list of PAY and FREE options around Cruz Bay
[ Listed from farthest to nearest to the downtown ferry dock ]
DMV Lot – FREE Gets a fair amount of traffic – so park at your own risk. Located across and down the hill from the fire station and just above the tennis courts. 10 minute walk to town.
Mongoose Junction – FREE*, but you must be shopping at one of the shops or restaurants!!!!
National Park Visitor’s Center – FREE just find a spot. After 5pm, the back lot opens up.
Gravel Lot – PAY, Long term* parking located by the car barge and across from the tennis courts.
L&L Lot – PAY, located by the police station and Fatty Crab on Prince Street. Convenient to down town Cruz Bay.
Slim Man’s – PAY, located just up the street from the ferry dock – across from Wharfside Village.
Wharfside Village – PAY, convenient to downtown shops and restaurants. Located just after the ferry dock.
Lumberyard Parking – PAY, convenient to downtown shops and restaurants. The largest paid lot in town with 60 spaces. Located across from Inter Island Ferry on Cruz Bay Road. www.lumberyardstjohn.com
Cruz Bay is the main metro in St. John. The many restaurants and shops are condensed into this small area. The Virgin Islands National Park Visitor Center is in Cruz Bay and there’s a good likelihood your boat charter will depart from Cruz Bay.
High Season (November – May) parking can be a challenge and the limited free in town parking fills up quickly. If you rented a car from an agency in town it’s possible they allow parking at their business as a perk. People do find space on the street but that comes at the risk of being ticketed.
